DESCRIPTION:The Ivy Tech Foundation presents the 16th Annual Chancellors' Scholarship Fundraising Event on Thursday\, October 5 at the Avalon Manor\, 3550 East U.S. Highway 30 in Merrillville\, Indiana. The Reception to meet the scholarship recipients will start at 6:00 PM\, and Dinner will be served at 6:45 PM\, followed by the Program.  Proceeds benefit the Chancellors' Scholarship Fund for Ivy Tech Northwest students.  The Special Guest will be Dr. Sue Ellspermann\, President of Ivy Tech. \n\nThe highlight of the evening will be the awarding of $42\,000 in Chancellors' Scholarships to 28 Ivy Tech students\, seven scholarships for each of the campuses in East Chicago\, Gary\, Valparaiso and Michigan City.  In addition\, the Ivy Tech Community College-Northwest will honor their Benefactor of the Year\, Leonard J. and Irene Brown Foundation\, Inc. \n\n \n\nTickets are $85 per person\, of which $40 is tax deductible.  Tickets can be purchased on line at https://connect.ivytech.edu/chancellorsevent2017.  Sponsor opportunities are available and include ticket benefits and program book recognition.
