DESCRIPTION:Last year\, the Kiwanis Club of La Porte celebrated 100 years of community service in the greater La Porte area. Founded in 1921\, our club is part of Kiwanis International\, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world\, one community and one child at a time. Our club's community service budget has grown to over $30\,000 per year to support four college scholarships\, 4-H\, YMCA\, Support our Youth\, Pioneer Land\, Kiwanis-Teledyne Park and over 20 other community activities each year.
