DESCRIPTION:La Porte Hospital will offer the American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR Course from 5-8 p.m.\, Aug. 9 at the hospital. The cost is $55 and advanced registration is required by calling Vickie Gushrowski at (219) 326-2322. \n\n \n\nYour breathing and heartbeat can stop for a number of reasons\, from a heart attack to an accident. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation\, known as CPR\, was developed to help increase your chances of survival. The course covers the latest AHA CPR recommendations\, and includes hands-on demonstrations and certification card upon completion.
