DESCRIPTION:Join us for Business Made Social\, a networking event for La Porte business people! This event will be held at State Street Community Church\, at 7:30 a.m. on March 18th. Our guest speaker will be John Kavchak\, Partner and Founder at Sloane Avenue Group and developer of the Hunter Woods residential project on Park Street.\n\n\n\nJohn is an investor\, developer\, and founder of Sloane Avenue Group. He began his career as a trader in the Securities Division at Goldman\, Sachs & Co. in New York\, focusing on macro and equity derivatives. He then joined The Carlyle Group on the investment team of a $5bn AUM public securities fund\, first based in New York then London. John has met with all major central banks globally and has experience investing across all major asset classes. In 2017\, he began to focus on opportunities within the real estate market in his hometown of Chicago\, setting a record in price for value add of a multiunit building on the North side\, and subsequently partnering with and analyzing deals with his family\, which is in development. John also has experience in horizontal development in NW Indiana with several subdivisions taken from raw land to finished lots. John has taken many projects through planning commissions and related authorities and worked alongside engineers\, homebuilders\, and land developers to optimize site design and project IRRs. John received Preferred Admission to the Stephen M.
