DESCRIPTION:Join us for Business Made Social\, a networking event for La Porte business people! This event will be held at State Street Community Church\, at 7:30 a.m. on September 16th. Our guest speaker will be Caitlyn Benson\, Social Worker for the La Porte City Police Department..\nCaitlyn Benson has served as the Police Social Worker for the La Porte Police Department since 2023 and has been practicing in the field of social work since 2018. A Marine Corps veteran\, she earned her BSW from Purdue Northwest in 2021 and her MSW from The Ohio State University in 2023. Originally from Wisconsin\, Caitlyn has worked in La Porte County since 2019 and has called the community home since 2021.\n\nIn addition to her role with the police department\, Caitlyn owns and operates Resiliency Recovered\, LLC\, a private therapy practice dedicated to providing affordable and accessible care\, with a special focus on first responders. She is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and is passionate about helping individuals heal through brain and nervous system-based approaches. Caitlyn also serves on the boards of Leadership La Porte County and Anam Cara Counseling.\n\nOutside of her professional life\, Caitlyn is a wife and mother of two who enjoys spending time outdoors\, tending to her houseplants\, and picking up new hobbies\; most of which don't last\, but always make for a good story.\n\n\n\n\nThis event is free of charge.\n\n\n\nRegister by clicking the link to the right or call 219.324.8584 for more information.
