SUMMARY:City of La Porte- Charrette Open-House Style Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The America's Best Communities Prize Competition Team will host a Design Charrette to engage the La Porte Community in the development of a Gateway Corridor Revitalization Plan. The charrette\, or intense collaborative workshop\, will be held Monday Sept. 21 through Thursday Sept. 24\, 2015 at La Porte's Civic Auditorium\, 1001 Ridge St\, La Porte\, IN 46350.\n\n\n\nTwo main community events are associated with this charrette. The first will be an open-house style workshop from 4:00-7:00 pm on Monday\, Sept. 21. The second will be a public presentation from 6-7:30 pm on Thursday\, Sept. 24. Both public events will be housed in the basement of the Civic Auditorium. Short presentations will also be made at the Board of Public Works and Safety and Common Council Meetings on Sept. 21 in City Hall Council Chambers.\n\n\n\nFor those who wish to weigh in on the plan remotely\, the project team encourages community members to comment through the project's online forum at www.planlaporte.com.
