Come see the Dragons awaken on Saturday\, September 7th at 9:00 am at Stone Lake in La Porte! The Dragons are boats powered by local company teams competing for prizes all for the deeper purpose to provide much-needed support for Dunebrook&rsquo\;s parent support programs. The Dragon Boat Race is the main event during our Dragon Boat Family Festival. The event is free to spectators!
\n\nDunebrook&rsquo\;s Dragon Boat Family Festival is an event for all ages. The skill in dragon boat racing is not in athleticism but in the synchronicity of the team working together. That is what makes it a great team-building event for businesses\, faith groups\, schools\, families and friends\, and organizations. Teams and spectators are encouraged to bring sun canopies\, beach chairs and blankets. While swimming is not allowed during the races\, guests can enjoy Stone Lake&rsquo\;s many amenities\, including the playground\, expansive beach\, picnic tables\, public restrooms\, and free parking with handicap accessibility.
