DESCRIPTION:On Monday\, April 21st\, 2014\, Mayor Blair Milo proclaimed May 5th through May 9th as Chamber of Commerce Week in La Porte.\n\n\n\nChamber of Commerce Week is a new initiative which showcases the role that the Chamber plays in the community by focusing on retention and expansion\, community and government advocacy\, education\, and networking.\n\n\n\nThe Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Business after Hours on Thursday May 8th from 4:30- 6:30 p.m. at the Chamber Depot to celebrate Chamber of Commerce Week.\n\n\n\nMembers may invite non-member businesses to learn more about the benefits of membership in the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce.\n\n\n\nComplimentary beverages and scrumptious appetizers will be served by Spire Farm-to-Fork\, the Cookery TT\, and Seven.\n\n\n\nAll members can be accompanied by a non-member.\n\n\n\nBenefits of Chamber Week\n\n\n\nTo the Membership \n\n\n	Opportunities to gain a better understanding of the mission and activities of the Chamber\n	Increased exposure to potential new customers \n\nTo the Community\n\n\n	Enhanced awareness of the various programs and services available through the Chamber\n	Opportunities to interact with fellow business and community leaders in La Porte.\n\nFor additional information\, contact Ashley Hawkins at (219) 362-3178 or hawkins@lpchamber.com.
