DESCRIPTION:This Northwest Indiana SCORE workshop is designed for current and prospective business owners\, especially those who are looking to launch a home-based business.  This one-hour information-packed workshop will focus on how to take advantage of Indiana laws and regulations that apply specifically to home-based businesses.\n\nMany successful small businesses start off initially in someone's home (or even garage)!  With our booming economy\, 2018 might be one of the best times to get a new business venture started.  Valparaiso SCORE Mentor Bill Herring will walk attendees through the information and tools needed to create a solid foundation when starting any business.  He will point out common pitfalls entrepreneurs should avoid and list valuable resources they can access at every stage in the life of their business.\n\nThis workshop will be held on January 31st\, 2018 at 9:00 am at the Valparaiso Chamber of Commerce.  There is no charge for this workshop and attendees will receive a copy of the slide presentation. Coffee will be served. Limited seating is available and registrations are required.
