DESCRIPTION:Are you looking to further your career by involvement in a club\, organization\, or local government? The La Porte Economic Advancement Partnership would like to invite you to our Introduction to Local Government course on April 6th from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the La Porte City Hall Council Chambers located at 801 Michigan Avenue.\n\n\n\nMayor Tom Dermody will open the course with an update on what is happening within the City followed by Nick Otis\, Partner and City of La Porte attorney with Newby\, Lewis\, Kaminski & Jones\, LLP.\, to dive into the basics of Robert's Rules of Order and Parliamentary Procedure. Bert Cook\, Executive Director at LEAP\, will round out the evening by describing the current committees within the City.\n\n\n\nThis event is offered at no cost to young professionals by LEAP and is limited to 20 participants.
