The Open House will last from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with a picnic style cookout.\n\n\n\nThe ribbon-cutting ceremony will be administered by the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce at 10:30 a.m.\n\n\n\nThis event is open to the community. Bring your family for a day of fun\, food and learning about the Andrew Avenue Center. Tours will be available throughout the open house.\n\n\n\nThe Andrew Avenue Outdoor Education and Recreation Center has several amenities including: basketball courts\, soccer fields\, walking trails\, tree forts\, Gaga Pits\, kitchen facilities\, restrooms and much more.\n\n\n\n"The Andrew Ave Outdoor Education and Recreation Center would not have been possible without the individuals and businesses who came together with their time\, talent and treasure to make this location a reality\," said La Porte County Family YMCA Executive Director Cindy Berchem.\n\n\n\nThe La Porte County Family YMCA strengthens the foundations of our community through well-being and fitness\, camps\, family time\, swim\, sports and play\, and other activities for people of all ages\, incomes and abilities.
