DESCRIPTION:La Porte County Family YMCA will host a Ribbon Cutting & Open House on Monday\, October 24 at 4:30 p.m. The organization is celebrating the new exercise equipment that has been placed in its facility in La Porte\, located at 901 Michigan Avenue. The ribbon cutting will be administered by the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce.\n\nThe Y has been serving our community for more than 107 years. We focus on three main priorities: youth development\, healthy living and social responsibility. Today\, we provide programming at 11 different sites\, including our La Porte\, Long Beach and Michigan City Elston branches\, our Childcare and Learning Center\, our Andrew Avenue Outdoor Center and 6 area schools.
