DESCRIPTION:The La Porte County Public Library will host groundbreaking ceremonies for the public on the following dates at these locations: \n\n Friday\, November 6 in Hanna at 12:00 p.m. Corner of Old US 30 (Lincoln Hwy) and Indiana St. \n\n Tuesday\, November 10 at the Rolling Prairie Branch at 10:30 a.m. at 1 E Michigan Street\n\n Tuesday\, November 10 at the Fish Lake Branch at 12:00 p.m. at 7981 E State Road 4\n\nThese ceremonies mark the beginning of the highly anticipated construction of three new branch libraries. With the support of members of the community\, the Library's Master Planning Committee\, the Library Board of Trustees and staff\, and with the support of local government officials\, the plans to build and improve library facilities are becoming a reality. \n\nMKM Architecture + Design have developed plans for the new spaces. Larson-Danielson\, construction managers for the project\, plan to have the projects completed by end of summer 2016. Updates will be posted regularly on the library's website at www.laportelibrary.org and on our Facebook page. Please join us at these exciting community events.
