Applications are now available for the 2015 Santa Parade in downtown La Porte held on November 28 at 12:00pm. The parade is free to participate in and all groups are welcome to participate. The parade runs through downtown and ends at Santa's Chalet in the historic Chamber Square\, 803 Washington Street.\n\n \n\nAfter the parade\, children can visit with newly arrived Santa\, and enjoy the tree lighting following the parade. Launching at the parade and going until Christmas\, community members may pick up a form from the Chamber office to judge and vote for their favorite storefront for the holidays. The winning business will be announced before Christmas. \n\n \n\nThe Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce\, Downtown La Porte and Anytime Fitness La Porte will host the Kris Kringle Blitz\, a one mile\, full costume fun run preceding the Santa Parade. Registration for the Kris Kringle Blitz is available at the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce. An electronic version of the registration is available online at www.lpchamber.com.\n\n \n\nA Christmas card will again be used for entry in the Coloring Contest to win B&J Bucks for Breakfast with Santa\, scheduled for December 12th at 10:00am. All cards will be forwarded to our troops. A copy of this year's card is available at the YMCA and the Chamber and welcome to all ages. The deadline for entries is November 27th.
