To kick off the event\, teams of culinary students from Ivy Tech Community College will battle each other not just for bragging rights\, but for a chance to win a scholarship.\n\n\n\n"This is an exciting opportunity for our students to gain real-life\, hands-on experience\," said Michigan City Campus President Rick Soria J.D. "And\, we are honored to join Fire&Water in showcasing the value of our community college to our community."\n\n\n\nThe winning team will win a culinary scholarship\, which is funded by a portion of the ticket sales.\n\n\n\nThe Fire & Water Food and Wine Festival is Saturday\, October 3 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM CST. The event is located at Fire&Water\, 6 on Lake Michigan\, near Washington park in Michigan City\, Indiana.
