DESCRIPTION:Join United Way of La Porte County for a Women United event. Women United is a global force of more than 70\,000 women dedicated to creating a world of opportunity- for everyone.\n\n\n\nIn La Porte County\, we are a group of philanthropic leaders dedicated to making a lasting difference in our local community. Our local chapter is a vibrant\, diverse and regional force of women leaders helping to mobilize the caring power of women in La Porte County to advance the common good and eliminate generational poverty.\n\n\n\nWe hope you will join us on March 15 at our annual Power of the Purse and continue the fight to end generational poverty in La Porte County.\n\n\n\nFor more information about Women United and how you can join\, please contact Executive Director Kris Pate at kris@unitedway.org or (219) 210-3534.\n\n\n\nPower of the Purse will have a dinner and silent auction of new and gently used purses. The event will take place on March 15 at the Pottawattomie Country Club from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Early Bird tickets (through February 28) are $50 and regular tickets (after March 1) are $65.
