The businesss got its start in 1970 when Fred Brown\, WWII veteran and Engineer\, was working for a drafting supply company and was engaged by a local architect in Michigan City.  Fred opened up a blueprint shop inside the architect's building. Then in 1992\, Fred's son Kevin Brown came on board.
