DESCRIPTION:This is a run over the scenic Legacy Hills Golf Course.   Walkers and casual runners definitely welcome.   \n\n \n\nThe Play for Jake Foundation was founded in memory of Jake West who passed away at the age of 17 due to an undetected heart condition. The Foundation is determined to create awareness and educate parents and youth about the dangers of undetected heart conditions.  We want to prevent sudden cardiac arrest among our youth by providing screening and protection programs for the middle schools and high schools to ensure children are offered routine heart screenings for undetected heart conditions.  www.playforjake.org\n\n \n\nThe Kiwanis Club of La Porte is part of Kiwanis International\, a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world\, one child and one community at a time.  The Kiwanis Club of La Porte performs many community service projects in La Porte to help serve children\, locally\, nationally and abroad.  The club meets on Thursdays at Noon at the Best Western Conference Center on Pine Lake Avenue in La Porte.
