DESCRIPTION:Family Advocates invites you to join us for our 5th annual Superhero Fun Fest and 5K run/walk. Come spend the day with us and enjoy the fun while supporting a wonderful cause. Family Advocates is a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for children who have been abused or neglected. The Superhero Fun Fest begins with the Superhero 5K at 9:00AM\, registration opening at 8:00AM. Heroes can dress up and run/walk the scenic route around Stone Lake. The Kids Fun Run will be a chance for our mini-heroes to run or fly to the end. After the races our judges will determine the best super heroes in attendance. We will have best kid\, best team and best family. All the winners will be added to our Super hero traveling trophy and get an individual prize. Throughout the day families can come play at the Family Fun Zone which will include carnival games\, face painting\, bounce house\, balloon animals and more! Join the award-winning Deep Fried Pickle Project jug band as they perform their zany\, kid friendly music. The Pickles will perform live and run a workshop for kids to make their own jug band instruments. As Tor Hyams of Lollapalooza/ Kidzapalooza states\, "The Deep Fried Pickle Project is a wonderful cross between mountain music and timeless old school fun." While you are enjoying the day there will be food vendors and more. Come for the race\, stay for the day! Don't miss this wonderful event!
