DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, January 27\n\nFamily Ceramics 9 a.m.-Noon Civic Auditorium\n\nDecorate a project in time for Valentine's Day\, Groundhog Day\, Lincoln's Birthday or any other holiday celebrated in late winter. This entertaining activity provides a great opportunity for a family outing. Please call the Park office at 219-326-9600 to register with your credit card.\n\n"Snowball Softball" Adult Coed Tournament 9 a.m. Lions Field\n\nDashing through the snow\, turning double plays! Get your team together for our version of the "hot stove" league. Double-elimination tournament\; limited to the first eight teams to register. Pre-registration required.\n\nBreakfast with the Birds FREE! 9:30-11 a.m. Luhr County Park Nature Center\n\nCome enjoy breakfast treats while watching birds grab a bite at the bird feeders. Not into freezing cold water? Consider chipping in to sponsor a brave friend. Participants can warm up after the plunge with refreshments\, including hot chocolate\, by the fire in Cummings Lodge!\n\nCommunity Snow Angel Gathering FREE! 1 p.m. Behind Cummings Lodge in Soldiers Memorial Park\n\nHow many people can we join in one place to make snow angels simultaneously? Let's find out! Tell your neighbors! Bring a friend! Come one\, come all! Bring back your childhood memory of playing in the snow!\n\nFamily Beach Day FREE! 1:30 p.m.-3 p.m. Stone Lake Beach Soldiers Memorial Park\n\nGoing to the beach in the middle of winter? Sure\, it is WinterFest! We are planning an afternoon of family 'beach' activities immediately following the snow angel gathering. Bring your beach pail and shovel to build a "sand" castle\, participate in a volleyball game\, tug-of-war\, Frisbee golf\, limbo\, "parachute" game (beach ball with blanket)\, fly a kite\, or play hopscotch! Warning: these activities may trigger squeals of fun and laughter! Hot chocolate will be available at the beach house.
