The Dance Foundation of La Porte was established in 2009 by Alyssa Staley as a Not-For-Profit organization with a mission to offer better opportunities through the arts for the community. Over the past few years, while the location has changed, the mission has remained the same. DFLP is excited to offer more variety to its’ families with the Grand Opening of the new location, 1710 E Lincolnway. DFLP has always offered Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Lyrical. The new space offers more opportunity for tumbling and ‘mini-gymnastic’ lessons. The staff at DFLP is excited to show off the new studio and have families come visit on January 2nd. DFLP will be providing demos during the open house.
DFLP is based on the motto of encouraging dancers through positive attitudes and an entertaining atmosphere. This is a home for a range of dancers, professional through extra curricular. Even if you are looking for an activity for the kids during the cold winter, tumbling classes are a great way to get kids moving. DFLP also offers boys only classes (includes tumbling and hip hop). Did you know that many famous football players took ballet lessons? It is a great way to stay active and work on your coordination. Parents, think your dancer is too young? DFLP starts at just 15 months of age!
Come check out DFLP on Friday, January 2nd from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm. There'll be demos, food and so much more! Come join the DFLP family. For more information about DFLP, you may call (219) 851-8905.
