LAKE Fine Arts Grand Opening
LAKE Fine Arts, represents the culmination of art and frame history, while embarking on a new direction in marketing. Over the years we have assembled a beautiful collection of English hand colored engravings and authentic mid-century serigraphs by Mark Coomer availalbe at www.midcenturyserigraph.com
Our History
Since 1927 Thanhardt-Burger and WT Burger have provided find and decorative artwork to the wholesale trade. A signature aspect of the artwork was the handmade picture frame that accompanied it. After the fire of 2013 we are no longer manufacturing frames but have access to a full range of frame options from the network of professionals with whom we work. The business model years ago was to make the connection with the artist and represent his or her work through our sales channels like traveling representatives and showrooms. Qualified buyers would buy inventory for their gallery, home furnishings store or design studio and make it available to their clientele. Artists were hungry for representation in areas that they were unable to reach. We have represented thousands of local artists from locales around the world. Many of the artists dedicated their entire lives to creating beautiful works of art. We are champions of the soul and passion of the artist and we believe there is a home for every work of art. In the late 1980's we coined the phrase "an artist behind every painting" to highlight the one-on-one relationship with the artist and to distinguish our collection and philosophy from others.
Markets are no longer confined by restrictive territories. Once we were the sole representative for an artist; the Internet is today's representative for artist's creations. We are proud to announce that LAKE Fine Arts will be offering to the art buying public a most unique assortment of high quality original artwork, framing consultation and art location service.
LAKE Fine Arts is owned and managed by Mark & Laura Krentz. Mark has 40 years of experience in the fine art and framing industry. In this capacity he was traveled to Austria, Germany, France, England, Italy, Spain, Hungary and The Netherlands as well as major market centers in the USA. His wife Laura has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Indiana University and extensive graduate work in the arts. She is an accomplished artist and art restorer and has taught Visual Arts at La Porte High School for 17 years.
