Taste of La Porte
August 8 is the Taste of La Porte! The annual event that celebrates food from the local area starts at 3 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. on the lawn of the La Porte Civic Auditorium, located at 1001 Ridge Street in La Porte. There will be a variety of restaurants from La Porte County serving sample sized portions of their food along with beer from area breweries. Local bands HiFi2WiFi, Gunpowder Treason, and Junior and the Igniters will perform throughout the night. There's fun for the whole family with bounce houses, craft vendors, and more.
The Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce will also be hosting a Diamond Dig at the Taste of La Porte. For $10 a ticket you can dig for the chance to win a diamond, courtesy of Engstrom Jewelers in La Porte.Food Vendors:
