Public Art Liaison
Job Summary: Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA) is a small but mighty art center located 60 miles from Chicago on the shores of Lake Michigan in Michigan City, Indiana. LCA is experiencing a surge of recognition, critical regard and community buy-in. LCA is seeking an experienced individual for the new part-time position of Public Art Liaison, for a rapidly growing program.
Starting Salary: Commensurate with experience
Hours: 20 hours/week including several evenings and weekends
Location: 101 West 2nd St, Michigan City, IN 46360

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree; and 2 to 5 years of development experience or its equivalent.
Computer skills: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Graphics
Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to drive.

Responsibilities
- Track public art project contracts, and maintain records of projects according to City and CRA requirements.
- Plan for maintenance and upkeep of past and future public art projects.
- Prepare written materials such as press releases, speaking points, contracts, and brochures on an as-needed basis.
- Document and market the cultural assets.
- Has ability to coordinate multiple projects and deadlines and write routine reports and correspondence.
- Has knowledge of comprehensive and current art-related principles, practices, and procedures.
- Plans, coordinates, and organizes special events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Dynamic self-starter with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- 2 to 5 years experience in arts administration, visual arts or related field
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal/human relations skills
- Ability to interact with diplomacy among business leaders, artists and a variety of other partners.
