About Us

The La Porte County Historical Society Museum, located at 2405 Indiana Avenue, houses the Historical Society’s collection of La Porte County artifacts and memorabilia. Three floors of exhibits feature 14 period rooms, the Kesling Automobile Collection, the W.A. Jones gun collection, the Belle Gunness room, the miniature Giese church, and the Fern Eddy Schultz Research Library, plus many others. The Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $5.00 for adults, $4.00 for adults 60 and over. Children 18 and under are free. An individual membership is $15.00 for a calendar year and provides for free admission to the Museum and all programs/events, and a subscription to the quarterly ''Oldletter.''
