Business Made Social - January 2024

Join us for Business Made Social, a networking event for La Porte business people! This event will be held at State Street Community Church, at 7:30 a.m. on January 16. Our guest speaker will be Brenda Temple, Vice President and General Manager of Blue Chip Casino, Hotel and Spa.

Brenda Temple, a seasoned professional in the hospitality industry, serves as the Vice President and
General Manager of Blue Chip Casino Hotel Spa in Michigan City, Indiana. With over two decades of
experience in casino management and business leadership, Temple has successfully overseen
operations, built profitability and elevated guest experiences.
Temple’s career with Boyd Gaming spans nearly 20 years and began at Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling
Hall, Tunica in 2008 where she held the position of Director of Finance for eight years. In 2013, Temple
left Mississippi to serve as Director of Operations at Gold Coast Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. In her
role, Temple worked around the clock to familiarize herself with as many departments as possible
before becoming Assistant General Manager of Cannery Casino Hotel in North Las Vegas in 2016. After
five years working in the city that never sleeps, Temple moved to Indiana to assume her current role of
Vice President and General Manager of Blue Chip.
Outside of work, Temple has served on boards for the Rotary Club, Washington Park Zoo and Michigan
City Enrichment Corporation which have helped her build a strong connection to the community. She
believes that valuing relationships, integrity and exceeding the expectations of your team and company
are the keys to success.
