Business Made Social - September 2022

Join us for Business Made Social, a networking event for La Porte business people!

La Porte County Family YMCA CEO Laurie Halaska will be our keynote speaker for the month of September.

Attendees will have two minutes to give an introduction of who they are and what their business is. Coffee and tea will be provided.

This event is free of charge.

This event will take place the third Tuesday of every other month; time varies.

Laurie grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago, where she received a degree in Finance from DePaul University. Laurie started her professional career as a controller for Allstate Insurance in the Commercial Division. After leaving Allstate to stay at home with her children for 6 years, Laurie became the Membership Manager at the Joliet YMCA, helping to grow the organization from 2 branches to 4 branches, and was later promoted to Branch Executive of the Joliet Branch, where she served for 13 years. After her children went to college, she decided it was time for a change. Laurie became the CEO of the Crossroads YMCA in Crown Point, where she served 3 years, before deciding to call La Porte home. In her spare time, Laurie and her family enjoy the outdoors and gardening, and they can be found exploring the natural beauty of Northwest Indiana any chance they get.
