Painting Party- La Porte County Historical Society Museum
It’s time once again to try your hand at creating a masterpiece at the La Porte County Historical Society Museum’s “Painting Party.” On Saturday, August 12th starting at 1 P.M., Artist Dori Huber will be giving step-by-step instructions for creating a painting inspired by a quilt created by prominent quilter, Ruth Johnson. This is in conjunction with the current display, “A Cozy Cover-up: A Look at La Porte County Quilts”. All supplies will be provided, including brushes, canvas, and paints. At the end of the afternoon, you will be the proud owner of a fabulous piece of art you created yourself! Cost is $30.00 per person, ($25.00 for Historical Society members), which includes admission to the museum, as well as light refreshments.
PAID RESERVATIONS ARE A MUST! Call the museum at 219-324-6767 or email at info@laportecountyhistory.org to secure your spot. However, payment must be made by August 10th.
