Vintage Veterans Basketball Classic- La Porte County Family YMCA

On Thursday, November 10th at 6:00 p.m., an all-star roster of past La Porte and Michigan City men's basketball players will face off in the second annual Vintage Veterans Basketball Classic. This fun-filled event will take place at the La Porte County Family YMCA's Michigan City Elston Branch and feature celebrity coaches, cheerleaders, music and more. We are also commemorating the 20th anniversary of the La Porte Slicers 1996-97 Final Four team. In honor of Veterans Day, we will be honoring our country's Armed Forces Veterans before tip-off. All veterans in attendance will receive free admission plus a free small popcorn as a token of our thanks for their service.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Y Scholarship Fund and be used to ensure all La Porte County residents have the opportunity to take advantage of important Y programs like swim lessons, youth sports and preschool.
