Worthy Women Recovery Home Ribbon Cutting

Join Worthy Women Recovery Home for a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, June 1st at 5:15 p.m. The event will take place at 1001 Maple Avenue in La Porte and will be administered by the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce.

Worthy Women Recovery Home is a Christian home that provides recently incarcerated women with re-entry programs and the tools necessary to reduce recidivism rates, substance abuse and addictions, and to positively empower them to live as positive role models for their children and in their community. The non-profit purchased their building debt-free on September 7, 2011 in La Porte, IN- almost 4800 square feet of space. The Worthy Women Recovery Home will offer an oasis in the form of a safe and sober residential living environment, giving the ladies hope for a future while teaching them to use the tools needed to become self-sufficient, positive, value driven members of society. Fostering appropriate interaction with their children and families will be their main focus. Promoting other appropriate, healthy and positive relationships will also be a foundational part of their learning.
