Applications Open for 2026 Construction Safety & Excellence Awards
Crown Point, IN – 1/15/2026 – An annual awards banquet to celebrate construction excellence and safety is returning to Merrillville, where the region’s top builders and project owners will gather to recognize last year’s achievements in the industry.
The Northwest Indiana Business RoundTable (NWIBRT) and the Construction Advancement Foundation (CAF) partner each year to honor the region’s top performers during the event. NWIBRT’s awards focus on safety performances, and the CAF awards highlight the best in contractor and project outcomes.
Those who would like to review criteria, fill out an application and submit entries for all awards at this year’s event can do so on the application page of NWIBRT’s Awards Banquet page. Applications are open through Feb. 16.
Each year, over 600 construction professionals attend the event, celebrating achievements made in the previous year. The selection committee considers criteria including injury rates, incident statistics and total hours worked. Beyond company safety awards, the banquet will also feature honors for individual awards, including those for exceptional craft workers, safety leaders, and employees who have shown extraordinary heroism on the job.
The CAF/NWIBRT Awards Banquet will take place on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at Avalon Manor in Merrillville, IN. For ongoing updates, sponsorship opportunities, and additional details, visit NWIBRT.org.
