Grand Heritage Federal Credit Union Holds Groundbreaking in NewPorte Landing
La Porte, IN – Today, in coordination with Tonn & Blank Construction, the La Porte Economic Advancement Partnership hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for Grand Heritage Federal Credit Union. The credit union plans to relocate from their current building located at 201 Koomler Drive to the corner of Truesdell Avenue and North Madison Street in NewPorte Landing.
“Grand Heritage Federal Credit Union is celebrating more than just a groundbreaking. We are celebrating a commitment to our members and our community. This new location represents our investment in the future, a place where we can better serve our current members and new members,” said CEO Jeri Hesters.
Tonn and Blank is proud to lead the construction of the new Grand Heritage Federal Credit Union facility, a 3,170 sq. ft. building with an additional 990 sq. ft. drive-thru canopy on a 1-acre site. This modern credit union will feature five private offices, a welcoming lobby with a teller line, a conference room, workroom, breakroom, and restroom, all designed to enhance staff efficiency and member experience. The exterior will showcase a durable and attractive combination of brick veneer and Nichia wall panels, topped with an EPDM roof system. The drive-thru area will include three drive-up lanes equipped with an overhead VAT system and an ATM for convenient customer access. Site improvements will include asphalt paving, concrete barrier curbs, sidewalks, and thoughtfully designed landscaping to create a professional and accessible environment.
Mayor Tom Dermody said of the relocation, “It’s a wonderful thing to have a business set up shop in our community, but it’s all the more special to watch them excel and expand. Not only does this project showcase the impact Grand Heritage has had in La Porte, but it is also a testament to their commitment to our community. We’re lucky to have such an incredible organization here in our city and look forward to watching their continued success.”
