Larson-Danielson Winter Food Drive Collects 2,025 Items for Food Pantries
(La Porte, Ind.) – Larson-Danielson Construction’s 2025 winter food drive concluded on Wednesday, March 19, providing essential support to five local food pantries. Each pantry received at least 405 items to support them in their efforts to make significant impacts in their respective communities.
"Our commitment to serving the communities where we live and work has been at the heart of our business since our founding,” said Larson-Danielson President, Brian Larson. “On behalf of Larson-Danielson, we’d like to extend our thanks to everyone who contributed to this food drive."
The food drive benefitted:
- Lake County: Tradewinds Community Pantry, Merrillville
- Porter County: Immanuel Lutheran Food Pantry, Valparaiso
- LaPorte County: The Pax Center, LaPorte
- St. Joseph County: St. Joe County Community Food Pantry, South Bend
- Jasper County: Good Samaritan Food Pantry, Rensselaer
“I want to extend our deepest gratitude [to Larson-Danielson for] making an immediate and profound impact in the lives of those facing food insecurity in La Porte County,” Jamie Buchanan, Executive Director of The Pax Center said. “The ripple effect of [this] kindness will extend far beyond the pantry shelves, touching lives and strengthening our community.”
Food insecurity continues to be a pressing issue in Northern Indiana, with LaPorte County facing a child food insecurity rate 36.3% above the national average. This highlights the crucial need for community support.
