LCSO Presents The Roaring 20s Concert
La Porte, January 7, 2026 - The La Porte County Symphony Orchestra is pleased to present the second concert of its 53rd season on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 7 p.m. at the La Porte High School Performing Arts Center at 602 F Street in La Porte. The program, titled "The Roaring 20s", continues the season's theme of celebrating the birth of the nation 250 years ago with the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776.
The concert celebrates music from America's Jazz Age and features guest vocalist Rebekah Howell, a Nashville based soprano whose versatile career includes appearances with the Baton Rouge and Chautauqua Symphony Orchestras. Howell will solo on popular songs by Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, and Cole Porter. The concert will also spotlight Shostakovich's Jazz Suite No. 2, and Tea for Two, in addition to an homage to the silent film era with The GReat Chaplin Suite by Elena Roussanova.

Adult $26, Senior $23, Students with ID and Children FREE, Seating is general admission, and doors open at 6 p.m. Pre-concert activities, including a 1920s costume contest and photo booth, will be held in the lobby in the hour prior to the concert. About the La Porte County Symphony Orchestra
The La Porte County Symphony Orchestra is a cornerstone of the vibrant arts landscape in Northwest Indiana. The orchestra serves the 110,000 residents of La Porte County and regions beyond, including Southwest Michigan. Now in its 53rd season, the LCSO has grown from a small community orchestra into a dynamic, professional organization of 60 musicians serving audiences from seven counties. Each year, the orchestra presents four subscription concerts, in addition to the Hoosier Star and Holiday at the Pops concerts. The LCSO's music education programming includes the annual Drayton Family Children's Education Concerts, which serve over 5,000 students each year, in addition to a Student Apprentice Program for high school musicians and numerous collaborations with area schools.
