United Way of La Porte County Enters Annual Fundraising Homestretch
La Porte County, January 8, 2025 — United Way of La Porte County is rallying the community to join hands in the final push for our annual fundraising campaign. With a commitment to enhancing lives and fostering stronger communities, we invite everyone to contribute and make a lasting impact.
According to Kris Pate, president and CEO of United Way of La Porte County, “Last year alone, our United Way invested over $700,000 into La Porte County through partner agency allocations, special grants, capital building projects for local nonprofits, a youth mental health needs assessment, and sponsorships. These funds, raised through donations and grants, have been crucial in advancing family stability and promoting youth success across the county. Our efforts along with our collaborative partner agencies have yielded significant progress in addressing local needs. It takes the investment and support from local businesses and our fellow citizens to continue this work.”
“The generosity of our donors enables us to support vital programs that equip families with resources for stability and empower young individuals to achieve their full potential,” says Pate. “By participating in this year's campaign, you become an integral part of creating sustainable change within our community,” she added.
Every donation counts as we work towards reaching our goal. Join us today by contributing to the United Way's mission and help drive positive transformations throughout La Porte County.
“The funds raised here, stay here to support your friends, neighbors, and co-workers,” said Pate. “Approximately one in every four people in La Porte County benefits from a service paid for by United Way. No gift is too large or too small; every dollar counts and truly makes a difference,” she added.
