City of La Porte Appoints Ashcraft to Civic Director
La PORTE, IN (Dec. 17, 2025) – City of La Porte Park Superintendent Mark Schreiber and the Park Board today announced the hiring of Rhonda Ashcraft as the new director of the La Porte Civic Auditorium.
A Ball State University alum with a Bachelor’s in sales and marketing, Ashcraft’s resume includes more than 20 years of managerial experience, most recently with BlueSky Restoration as their Business Development Manager. Before that, she oversaw the day-to-day operations, personnel and sales for Sterno Delivery. Schreiber said Ashcraft’s attention to detail and leadership skills make her a great fit for this role.
“Between its catalogue of events and its diverse usage by our community, the Civic is a critical asset to the residents of La Porte,” Schreiber said. “It’s essential to have a leader at the helm who can keep the momentum while ensuring the building’s viability for the next generation. With her many years of experience, Rhonda is just the person for the job. We are thrilled to have her and look forward to her success in this role.”
Ashcraft will begin in her new position after the first of the year.
