Kiwanis Club of La Porte prepares for Radio Days
The Kiwanis Club of La Porte is celebrating 104 years of community service in the greater La Porte area this year, 2025. The Club’s community service budget has grown to over $25,000 per year to support 4 college scholarships, 4-H, YMCA, Support Our Youth, Pioneer Land, Kiwanis Teledyne Park, and over twenty other La Porte activities each year, plus sponsoring the Fourth of July Parade. We are capping this year’s effort with Radio Days courtesy of Spoon River Media (96-7 The Eagle/WCOE) in La Porte. Our 29th year working with them.
On February 19th, the Kiwanis Club of La Porte will take over the airways at 96-7 The Eagle doing Tradio, the News and Kiwanis member interviews discussing different Kiwanis activities, during each hour from 7a.m. to 1 p.m. The day should be fun for both the club and for the listening audience.
Also, Dennis Siddall, General Manager, and Matt Moore owner of Spoon River Media, have made available to our club a special advertising package to share with you during our 104th anniversary week. The package is independent of any program you currently have with 96-7 The Eagle and ALL proceeds from Kiwanis advertising sales will go to the Kiwanis Club of La Porte for support of our projects serving the children of La Porte.
If you would like to place an order now, please fill out the order form below. Orders must be placed by February 12th.
If you have questions, please feel free to contact me at (219)575-2317. Thank you for your support of Kiwanis and our La Porte Children’s projects.
