La Porte City Park Foundation's Inaugural Golf Outing Raises $10,000 for Park Enhancements
La Porte, IN – The La Porte City Park Foundation's first-ever Golf Outing, held on Friday, September 6th, was a resounding success, raising $10,000 to support the Foundation’s mission of enhancing and preserving local parks.
The event drew 88 golfers from across the community for a day of friendly competition. Participants enjoyed a full day on the course, concluding with a celebratory lunch.
“We are beyond thrilled with the outcome of our inaugural golf outing,” said Foundation spokesperson Emily Archambault. “The incredible support from our sponsors, volunteers, and participants made this event a great success, and the funds raised will significantly impact the ongoing enhancement of our parks.”
Key sponsors of the event included Northwest Health, Jess and Lisa Denger, and David Pendergast, whose generosity helped make the event possible.
In addition to raising funds, the outing provided a wonderful opportunity for community members and local businesses to come together in support of La Porte’s parks. The money raised will be directed toward projects that ensure the parks remain beautiful, accessible, and enjoyable for all residents and visitors.
The La Porte City Park Foundation extends its gratitude to everyone who participated, sponsored, and volunteered to make the day a success. The Foundation looks forward to hosting the golf outing again next year, along with future community events.
