Lubeznik Center for the Arts' May First Friday Features Live Music Performance by Evans Frassine
Michigan City, Ind. - Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA) is hosting its free First Friday on May 2, from 5-8 p.m. (Central).
For May's First Friday, LCA invites the public to join them for an evening of soulful sound featuring a live music performance by Chesterton High School student, Evans Frassine. Frassine is a talented blues and soul guitarist and vocalist. Born in Italy and fluent in both Italian and English, Evans has a rich cultural depth to his music, often singing in both languages. Playing since the age of nine, with inspiration from legends like Albert King, B.B. King, Muddy Waters, Ray Charles, Otis Redding and Sam Cooke, the young musician brings a dynamic of blues, jazz, rock and folk to the stage.
On display in LCA's NIPSCO Art Education Studios is the "Art from the Start" exhibition, showcasing creative work from Michigan City Area Schools' elementary students, while Linda Hoffhines' "Collected Studio Moments" will be presented in LCA's Lobby.
LCA's Free First Friday cultural programs take place on the first Friday of each month from 5-8 p.m. (Central). The annual schedule includes everything from exhibition openings to live music and dance performances. All events are free and provide complimentary nibbles and a cash bar.
