Lubeznik Center for the Arts' Summer Education Offerings Open for Registration May 7, 2025
Michigan City, Ind. - Registration will open on Wednesday, May 7 at noon (Central), for summer art classes, workshops and camps for children, teens and adults at Lubeznik Center for the Arts (LCA).
LCA's summer 2025 education lineup includes a wide variety of engaging classes for every age and skill level. Adult classes include:
- Abstract Painting I & II
- Expressions with Mixed Media
- Sandcastle Writers
- Gardens in Contemporary Art
We're also excited to introduce four new workshops for all ages and interests: Gouache Abstract Landscapes, Strange Animals: A Prose Poem, Live Figure Drawing and Botanical Illustrations. Open to ages 16 and up, Botanical Illustrations invites teens and adults to create beautifully detailed drawings inspired by real plant specimens. Using observational techniques and guided sketches, participants will bring their artwork to life with watercolor.
Summer Art Camps, for ages 7-14, include:
- Fashion Week
- Campers in Neverland
- Mythical Monsters
For full class descriptions and to register for any of these exciting classes, workshops and camps, visit lubeznikcenter.org/learning or call 219-874-4900.
LCA members receive 10% off all classes, workshops and camps, plus many more great benefits. Learn more and sign up at lubeznikcenter.org/membership.
LCA's Teen Arts Council (TAC) continues meeting through the spring. Connecting local creative teens ages 13-18, TAC will meet June 26 and July 24 at a new time from 4:30-6 p.m. (Central) and is free to all teens. Register by emailing Nelsy Marcano at nmarcano@lubeznikcenter.org.
Because accessibility is at the heart of LCA's mission, scholarships for children and adults are available for all classes, workshops and camps thanks to generous support of LCA's Dolly Fund. Sign up for scholarships at lubeznikcenter.org/scholarships.
