New Events & Exhibits for January 2025 at the La Porte County Historical Society Museum
January 2: New Gallery Wall Display! Come on down to the Museum to see the new gallery wall! 'Cultivating La Porte County' showcases the rich agricultural history of La Porte County. A binder is available to learn the stories behind these fascinating pieces of art .
January 11: Pioneer Land Spinners! On January 11th, from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, the spinners from Pioneer Land will be spinning yarn from natural fibers at the Museum. They may even give you a try! These talented artisans usually spin in a barn at the La Porte County Fairgrounds, so it is a special opportunity to see them here! Come learn more about how pioneers made their textiles from these knowledgeable women.
January 30: La Porte County Historical Society Founding Day! January 30, 2025 marks 119 years of the Historical Society in La Porte County.
